Biography
Nikolay Simakov is a Computational Scientist at the University at Buffalo's Center for Computational Research, where he has been since 2012. He holds a doctorate in Computational Chemistry from Carnegie Mellon University, and a bachelor's and master's in Applied Physics and Mathematics from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.

<p>Development, implementation, and application of computational methods in biology, chemistry, and physics, and the optimization and parallelization of scientific programs for conventional clusters, supercomputers, and GPU-based systems. Core developer of the XDMoD Application Kernel for HPC performance monitoring and of the Slurm Simulator for HPC workload modeling.</p>
